Real Widescreen Support on W3Arena

On modern systems with 16:9 widescreen monitors the Warcraft 3 game-scene is stretched natively from 4:3 to 16:9, resulting in disproportional figures.

With our latest update, the game scenes will not be stretched anymore. Proportions are correct and the field of view increases for an amazing Warcraft experience. It may look unfamiliar at first, but play a few games!

You are able to switch between the native 4:3 and the new 16:9 ratio in the launcher. More changes to come. Stay tuned!

OpenGL is not yet supported. You have to set it to the classic (4:3) mode if you use OpenGL

@ #5 16:9 is state of the art and the most common resolution these days. You can also use this resolution with your small monitor if you dont care about the disorted objects.

A step backwards? Are you kidding? 16:9 is so much better and you simply stop wasting parts of your screen when playing Warcraft thanks to this update. It sure looks unfamiliar in the first few games, but you'll get used to it really quickly.

I also like and appreciate your work pretty much! Great Feature, and also the idea to keep it optional. I tried some games 16:9 yesterday, and still it feels a Little bit weird. I give it some more tries. Thank you for your great contribution to wc3!

@Pad can you make an option so that the UI panels on the bottom of wc3 (minimap, command buttons, inventory etc) stay in the center as they would in 4:3 and filling the extra space on the sides with w/e instead of stretching them out?

Amazing feature but a couple things: 1.) The only problem is it blacks out the screen completely if you're a Windows 10 user who had issues adjusting the brightness (/gamma, see problem here: http://tft.w3arena.net/community/viewtopic.php?f=5&p=17259). Unless there's some other fix, you had to add .dll's to the WC3 folder to allow adjusting brightness, and now it just blacks out the screen. Is there some other Windows 10 brightness fix besides the .dll's that wouldn't black it out? Patch 1.27 fixed these brightness issues but according to Pad, 1.27a isn't coming to w3a (understandably since it's temporary). 2.) Can you send this to Blizzard? :D lol. it would be pretty jarring to get used to this and go back and play on BNet for 4s RT and stuff. This is basically a "No BNet and No WC3 except on W3arena" nuclear option atm, no?

that involves the streched mouse pointer with the awkward horizontal mouse movement.
